Metallic in Budapest

I had been waiting for this weekend for a few weeks and it finally got to the dreaded packing part – we had no idea what the weather was going to be like so I had no clue what to take. I sat slumped on my bed in my underwear for at least 45 minutes with my boyfriend staring at me like come on Lauren we’re only going for 2 days! but obviously he doesn’t understand (I know you gals get me) and it clicked I needed to find an outfit one suitable for all day and well presented enough for evening dinner – you never know where you’ll end up, or what you’ll end up doing whilst exploring in another country. My fellow blogger friend Danielle has written a blog post on The top 7 things to do in Budapest– She’s right about all of them too!

I bought this skirt last year and I’ve only worn it a couple of times, but as my confidence grows, it’s becoming a key piece in my wardrobe. It’s all about getting out of your comfort zone, I know I keep banging on about it but it’s true. Now I’m going to be honest, if someone had shown me a photograph of myself now a few years ago I would’ve been like no.. way.. what on earth.. I’m so glad I’ve started to experiment with clothing and started to develop my personal style.

Topshop has always been one of my favourite high street stores, I love the way the metallic pleated skirt sits on the waist, it’s a perfect comfortable fit which leaves me feeling relieved and not agitated after eating a big meal. I have found one which is pretty similar here and it’s half the price as sadly the skirt is no longer online.

I’ve paired it with a baby pink leather jacket which I purchased from Zara last year, but again here is a similar one which is also cheaper.

Trainers are and always have been a big part of usually every outfit I wear, I just HATE getting blisters it drives me insane. Opting for these Reebok Classics from JD was a no brainer when styling this outfit. Comfortable, affordable and a must have for every shoe rack. They also add the casualness to this look which is what I was going for. They have recently done a collaboration with GIGI Hadid and they have a beautiful white pair with silver glitter on the top of the ankle take a look here.

I was lucky enough to see the weather rise to 20 degrees in Budapest that day so the outfit was perfect for the day and in the evening too.

Have you been to Budapest before? I’d love to hear what you guys got up to.
