I don’t know about you, but I’ve always wanted the ‘real deal’ over the duplication but unfortunately my bank account doesn’t yet accommodate for the real deal for everything. As the trends trickle down from the catwalk to the high street. I’m sure you as do I, turn to the local affordable high street for dupes.
Let’s just do some clarification here. A duplication is a similar garment, shoes or accessories which looks like a high designer’s piece. A fake is a garment, shoes or accessories which CLAIM to be that designer or brand. In my books there is nothing wrong with not being able to afford the real deal right?!
We’ve all seen the furry fabulous Gucci mules. I have seen dupes popping up in almost every high street store of these backless slide on shoes and I sure as hell did buy a pair.
Mine are from Ego and they were hundreds of pounds cheaper than the Gucci ones! I’ve had SO many comments on these shoes since I bought them and basically I’ve lived in them. It’s funny because I took the tube to Oxford Circus the other day and people were staring at them, I thought to myself do people think they’re Gucci?. I’ve seen Primark have some In now but not sure how decent they are.
Mine are super comfy and super affordable. The ONLY and I mean ONLY thing I would say is, that the fur has stated to wear, where the heel is, but I guess this is because I’ve worn them to death since buying AND I’ve been caught in the rain more than once. So they are pretty sturdy for £24.99.
Another dupe we’ve seen everywhere is the Chloe Faye Handbag. I actually got mine from eBay I just typed in cross body chain bag and they came up with all different colours and sizes. Mine was £12 it took a few days to come but I’m quite happy with it.
The handbag is grey with gold chains, it hangs at the right point and has an adjustable strap. The bag is quite flimsy but again it’s not the real deal so one can’t expect perfection!
