LFW, LFW, LFW. I’ve been streaming the shows ever since I was around 14 years old. It was always my dream to attend and this was my second fashion week! This time I was really lucky and I got to stay at the St Martins Lane hotel along with one of my best friends @laaurenlouisee.
St Martins Lane is apart of the Morgan’s Hotel Group, they have hotels around the world and in London including The Sanderson and The Mondrian. The hotel I stayed at is located on St Martins lane – If you hadn’t guessed, which is around 5 mins from Leicester square station and 10 mins from Covent Garden station. The location was perfect for commuting to the strand where most of the fashion week shows I attended were held. The artistic style of the hotel and scent of Green Tea, Lemongrass, Lemon, Musk and Cedarwood throughout was divine. Seriously, I was tempted to buy the bottle… I might go back.
As soon as we stepped out the car there was someone to take our suitcase and hold the door open for us, it’s the small things that really make a difference when staying in a luxury hotel. When we checked in we were politely told we were being upgraded to the Garden deluxe room, which I nearly died at having researched all the hotel rooms (as you do) which meant that we had a little garden in our room. I can just imagine in the Summer working out there with my dressing gown, laptop and breakfast – Perfect! The Lobby is modern, chic and sophisticated. I automatically could see the hotel was of an extremely high standard. We made our way up to the room and to our surprise there was LFW written in chocolate with two white chocolate cakes and a brownie alongside a personalised note, welcoming us to the hotel.
I’m sure you’ll know me by now, I’m not the brightest tool in the box and I’m so easily satisfied. Next to the bed there was a light control where you could change the colours of the lights around the bed – pink, blue, green and yellow and it was just so satisfying, it’s the small things hahaaa. The room was emaculate, if you had forgotten anything, they had it. From razors to alarm clocks and all the yummy sweets and crisps in the mini bar. They also had a mobile phone on charge that you could take out with you, so if you aren’t from London this is really helpful as it gives you ideas of things to see and do around central London.
In the morning we went down to have breakfast, the dining room looked perfect if you wanted to nip in have a bite to eat or a great place for a meeting. The lady that served me was brilliant, I have an intolerance to wheat and dairy and she made sure I had breakfast made exactly how I needed it. If you want somewhere that screams luxury, St Martins lane is definitely the place to go.
